Disclaimer: I am not addressing the length of the missions i am suggesting changing the content of the missions.

Now, I understand that the last thing the GC staff and other users want to read is another selfish complaint about the game, but that being said I think that the GP missions for new characters might need to be re-evaluated. Yes I understand that the staff did not come up with missions on a whim and that they put a lot of thought into the components such as the drop rate but as things are now, unlocking new characters isn't even fun :/

Grand Chase is a game and shouldn't be anything more. Its one thing to work hard to get your characters the way you want them but its another thing to have to WORK (and I do mean work) just to play with a new character.

I am not trying to sound too whiny or self-centered by any means. If you want to make the character hard to get, or have it take long or whatever, why not break the mission up into multiple parts so we're not driving ourselves mad running the same dungeon over and over and OVER and OVER and OVER (do you get my point?) only to complete the first part and then move on to the second half in a new dungeon in which we do the exact same thing.

Instead why not try...

1. Split it up into more than just 2 dungeons i.e. instead of 100 orbs between 2 dungeons why not 10 orbs between 10 dungeons?

2. Get creative. Instead of just having a drop rate on a boss there could be other means of acquiring orbs.
      - Running a dungeon in a certain time
      - Orb based on how well you complete the dungeon (bad/good/great/perfect)
      - A system at the end of dungeons similar to the 4 chests you open at the end in which you select a chest or spin a roulette for an extra orb but you                 must gamble gems or maybe champ tickets or something else of value?

All I'm saying is that there are other more ways in which the players can be involved with unlocking their characters.

Thanks

You have no right to say this.

The GC community has endured years of character missions and job missions which took a lot more ffort and time.

You should be thanking the GMs that they got rid of those and made everything dead easy.

If you think these are bad, go back to S2...

Redo all your missions..

Then make this thread.

1. I agree with Tysta. You have no right to say this as "a fan."

2. The GP missions are supposed to be annoying. You want to get the character for free? Something that increases the playability of the game by a whole new perspective? Put the damn time into it and work for it. When's the last time someone handed you something that valuable for nothing?

3. There's a cash mission. Don't want to spend money? Don't complain. KoG and SGI deserve the money from you for this, but if you don't believe that, then think of it this way: your complaining is the reason there even are GP missions. They are there to give the option of getting it for free. Be thankful that this is a free-to-play game, rather than 60 bucks for the same level of entertainment and gameplay.

Well, first off I have the right to say whatever I like. It's a suggestions forum, meant for suggesting. GC has the right to listen to or completely disregard my post.

But, allow me to edit my post...

"GC I am suggesting that you make the character missions more fun.

Thanks"

Just because it USED to be even more mindless doesn't make the current missions any more enjoyable. All I'm saying is the system in which we unlock new characters isn't fun. We all have our opinions and that's mine so please don't get mad at me for it.

Oh, and about the free vs. paying argument, don't tell me how much they deserve the money; I know that. And I would be more grateful if this game WAS a $60 dollar game because I have spent well over that on individual characters alone. The fact of the matter is, I dont care. I dont mind at all for the very reason that they DO deserve the money. Its an excellent game. I'm just giving my feedback.

I really do love how the forums are a very open environment in which people can suggest ideas without others feeling as if they have to be GC's bodyguards and take everything so personally...

I said it in my original post.Break the mission up into multiple sections, even different dungeons would do.

let me make this clear, I have no problem with the length of the missions. I'm just saying that the redundancy is absurd and no one here can pretend for a moment that there aren't other ways to go about this.

First off, please try to make use of the 'Edit' feature under the "More ↓" button at the top right of your post.
Second, character missions are already usually broken up with different dungeons, although the repetetiveness is still there as high amounts of runs are needed for the dungeons.
Third, GC's community isn't very nice, in-game or in the Forums~  :>
Fourth, in my opinion, all the boring time spent on getting a character is worth it.

The point is. The mission wasn't made to be enjoyable in any way. Actually, it was thought up so that it'd be actually boringly annoyingly stupidly long. So that people with very little patience would just give up on it, and actually buy the character.

If they made the missions "fun", nobody would buy characters anymore.~

I agree in the fact of doing the same dungeon hundreds of times for a character can be bleh. If they make you do a dungeon like 10 times and then the same for 5 others at least it might be more interesting then :3 But yeah, it was much worse.

Exactly.

Does everyone honestly think that making a switch like this would cause everyone who was going to buy the mission to just suddenly change their minds? No, all it does is leave the people who are going to work for it regardless, like me, some peace of mind while they're doing it. But if it is true that GC intended it to be a crappy experience then fine, I'll drop it. Case closed.

This I do support.

Mindlessly repeating the same two dungeons or whatever is exactly the reason I rarely did the second job missions in s2/3. Or whatever.

People coming at you with that Fire Bolt! should just take a seat.

There's a reason they changed that in the first place.

They can definitely find a way to make the character missions involved  instead of mechanical.

Trade low drop rates and high quantity need for more higher drop rates, less quantity need, however increase the number of parts in such a way it would take relatively the same amount of time to complete.
